During the quarantine, I had taken this picture to improve my shot and food stylist quality. I had in my mind this picture for advertising companies that produce cakes, cocoa, and flour.

This was the first time I made shots of splashing drinks. I decided to go with iced tea for color and clarity. Since I wanted to have both a splash and an ice cube in the air, I used two ice cubes. Voilà! It works nicely in this frame.

With this shot, I wanted to remember a handmade pasta typical of the Abruzzo region in Italy. Guitar spaghetti. It has ancient origins handed down from generation to generation, even today this type of pasta is made with a special instrument with a wooden frame, the pasta is spread on the strings just like those of a guitar and cut into spaghetti.<br />

The preparation of the set: preparation, lighting, preparation, and realization of the pasta, is all my work. And the fact that this photo has been selected gives me emotion and strength to continue in this discipline. Thank you.

Store-bought honey cake slices with some extra flair added. One of my favorite images from my personal practice collection. I used this as a case study to improve my lighting & styling for an upcoming job as I wanted to see how I could style and modify the light to show the texture and color enough to make it so that anyone who sees this image could almost reach across the screen and grab it.

The client wanted the simple rustic charm of the cafe's decor to be communicated here and the complexity of this dish's presentation was a great contrast. I wanted to keep very minimal attention on the cheap paper serviette (which I always prefer to replace with a fabric one where allowed by the client), so chose a super narrow depth of field to keep the attention on the dish itself. The DOF is what makes this shot, exaggerates sharpness, and holds the viewer's attention on the pancake here, edible flowers, berries, and syrup while letting the rest fall-away to a blur...

I was inspired to photograph a moody yet vibrant shot of the blackberry crumble bars I made. I stacked them for additional visual interest. To heighten the moodiness and drama I deepened the blacks when retouching.

There’s this cook who lost his job during this pandemic, he used to work in a very recognized sushi restaurant and was trying to survive by selling sushis from home. I really enjoyed the look and taste of his product, and thought was a really great idea to make a few pictures to help him promote his business.
