Mana Constantinescu

Born in Bucharest, I live and work in Brussel Belgium since 1992. I started as an art director for advertising companies, and became more and more interested in food. I added a new branch to my artistic activities, first as a food stylist, now as a food photographer and as a food film director (this is brand new). I also went back to school, at the Beaux Arts Académie in Brussel and graduated with a Master in Food Design a few years ago. My food photography has 2 distinctives directions, first a contemplative one which is linked to my young years as an art student in Bucharest, experimenting with the still lives as a genre.  The other one, more pragmatic, it’s related to everyday food and the creation of social links. Those 2 directions influence each other.
