One of my Manhattan variations, marrying my love of architectural elements, via this wonderful geometric inverted surface with the gorgeous design of the glassware.

A fig drizzled with bourbon cherry syrup in a slight twist on a classic old fashion cocktail. It was delicious.

Superb crystal whisky glass and a smoked quality whisky at the wind up to the day.

Something about summertime and cocktails, sitting outside in the late day. I am always trying to weave in a narrative that might bring out a memory and light with subtle shades of colour are the best tools for creating that mood.

Part of a minimalist series using elegant black plates and cutlery to contrast and highlight the rich luscious colours of the food and ingredients, in this case a sprig of deep red tomatoes.

Capturing the blue glow of the lit alcohol was definitely a bit of a challenge to solve out in an elegant way. I always try to produce beautiful images and capture the best moments as we see.. as we remember.

These mini 'pumpkins' were so evocative of autumn I was rather compelled to capture that vibe in a still life. I picked up these amazing pumpkin like gourds, grown locally, specifically for some moody halloween images for several ongoing clients.

I managed to source these oyster mushrooms from a local farmers market in such perfect condition like I haven't seen very often. I literally used kid gloves to get these into the studio and spent several hours working to bring out the best in them.

I was working to attain a soft layer of romantic atmosphere as a overarching narrative with the image. Plus a level of simplicity and elegance in the food elements, dish ware and supporting cast.
