Having a camera in my hand has always been a natural thing for me. My partner and I took on a busy cafe 5 years ago, then a fine dining restaurant 2 years later. I could not have imagined what an asset it was to always have great shots on hand. It also didn't take me long to realise that I was becoming obsessive in my pursuit to capture the perfect shot of the amazing food coming out of the kitchens, and that my enthusiasm was relentless. I also came to love capturing the heart and soul of hospitality venues, that each have their own distinct character.
I now operate as a food photographer working, predominantly with businesses in the hospitality industry. Having been an owner/operator of hospitality businesses myself, I know what food businesses are looking for. I have a great feel for capturing awesome shots of food, venues and retail items that make them POP.

The Smoky Negroni. When a smoky cocktail arrives before you, you've only got a moment to catch the smoke before it dissipates, but the beautiful smoky aroma and flavor lingers. Such a beautiful way to add some drama.
Local Jewfish Fillet poached in creamy Mussel and Saffron Broth with Braised Leeks, Peas, and Potato. Yes, I captured this photo, but I can’t take full credit for this image. My partner and I own and run a small fine dining restaurant @theloftlismore. We would never have taken this venture on without our incredibly talented head chef and friend Richard Kerr @nimbinchef His skills are off the charts - he’s earned our restaurant a Chefs' Hat for two consecutive years ( Michelin equivalent) and helped put our little country town on the map. For me personally, it’s because is his works of art on a plate that I felt compelled to his food justice with my camera.
Blood orange has the most incredible bold color. Their striking color palette really held the strong light and shapes in this scene. They have such a brief fruiting season, so when I saw them this year I knew I had to capture them immediately or wait again until next year!
