Food Styling by Peilin Breller. Shot on the Canon R5 and 50mm lens at f / 11. I placed the hard light source as far away from the subject as possible for parallel shadows and to avoid noticing the inverse square law. The second light was illuminating as much of the wall behind light #1 to brighten the shadows consistently, create an appealing reflection (noticeable on the ice), and avoid a second shadow.
83rd CollectionWith the help of Kevin Shanmugam, this was taken in a series of photos from one of my first food photography jobs in 2018. This was shot with an 85mm lens at f/2.8.
81st CollectionMonths of DIY projects, bottle photography research, and tutorials to take this photo. Always room for improvement, but still a proud moment.
81st CollectionThis look was achieved with a hard light next to a large soft light and some white bounce from the opposite end. The goal was to have consistent lightened shadows while keeping the reflections and shadows on the food appealing.
