On a recent trip to Italy, my wife fell in love with an Aperol Spritz. Returning home, it has become a frequent libation in our home. Admiring the beautiful colors of the drink, I decided to try and capture its beauty in a photograph. This was photographed in my home studio with a strobe light.
Gentleman Jack is a very smooth bourbon whiskey that is my drink of choice. I photographed this in my home studio backlighting the bourbon to show its color.
I photographed this steak dinner on location at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The steak is accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes. This meal was styled by Amy Villareale.
I wanted to create a photograph of just a cup of coffee since it is usually just the background of a food photo. I decided to make it very simple so your eye goes directly to the subject. The black mug was photographed on top of a piece of black plexiglass to display the mirrored image of the cup. The steam was added in Photoshop.
This flatbread pizza was actually created for lunch, one day and I liked it so much I quickly grabbed some wood for a background. The pizza was photographed using natural window light.
A simple but delicious pasta dish. The pasta was covered with a cream sauce and covered with small cherry tomatoes. Shaved parmesan was sprinkled over the dish. The pasta dish was accompanied by a loaf of Italian bread and a glass of wine, of course,
I prepared very thin pancakes and stuffed them with yogurt and sliced strawberries. Next, the syrup was poured over them to make them even sweeter.
