Sixty-Sixth Collection
I'm a huge fan of drinks photography. So I decided to start photographing drinks more often, this photograph was created thinking in the gorgeous color of Blood Oranges, this mojito version is really great.
A transparent cocktail splash shot in a dark environment is always challenging but it was so much fun to make it happen. The beautiful orchid garnish is a valuable add on to the pink drink and detailed action.
Braided bread is always on our table at Easter. I wanted to recreate Easter morning here with the lights, extra elements like butter and jam, to invite the viewer to the table.

What can be more tempting than a few banana cupcakes with whipped coconut cream, almond caramel filling and some extra caramel on top? To be honest, it was quite an easy shot as the cupcakes looked just so good by themselves. And quite a fast shot also as it wasn’t easy not to eat them right away:)
‘A balanced diet’ was photographed in situ as you see it, so was quite a construction piece. Vegetables are very needed as part of a good diet and this photo is an example of that balance.
Autumn morning. I was pulling creative inspiration from the change of season. I adore the soft, muted, grey light of the mornings in the cooler months. I wanted to recreate a quiet and crisp autumn morning here.
Making Roomali. We setup and captured this talented chef making roomali roti (which is an unleavened bread, as thin as a handkerchief and as soft too!)
The Lucille Bluth breakfast. I took this photo as one last cheers to comedy icon Jessica Walter after her passing away. I loved every second she was on screen and enjoyed every perfectly timed line she delivered. She was the best part of Arrested Development.
The image was inspired by this scene:
Lucille: “Get me a vodka rocks.”
Michael: “Mom, it’s breakfast.”
Lucille: “And a piece of toast.”
The feel of summer. Experimenting with light is one of my favorite things to do. I used my studio light to create these beautiful highlights and shadows around the glassware and hands.
This photograph has been inspired by a tea and the summer, however, I felt it has to be a different kind of tea. This is how strawberries appeared in the scenery and after assembling 6 photos together this one has been created.
My goal is to make you feel thirsty and what is better than a cold beer after a day of hard work? Beer and bezel are the answer!
Perfect imperfection. I know it’s not a perfectly foodstyled pancakes plate, but I just fell in love with that light hitting the top of the blackberry jam, an the way the perspective created the feeling that who took the shot was hidden behind something since we don't see the full image and have that blur intentionally created on the left side.
I loved creating this image. It was a culmination of recent prop purchases (the vintage baking tray, and the black dish creeping in at the top right), creating a homemade background, and seeing some beautiful seabass and samphire in a local store which I just had to buy, photograph, and then eat!
Salmon Tartare with Ponzu and Seaweed, one of the pre diner snacks served by the gastro pub The Greyhound Beaconsfield, the food and service overlooked by Daniel Crump the owner are second to none.
Es Cendol is a very popular dessert drink here in Indonesia. Mung bean noodle jelly flavoured with pandan juice for its beautiful green color; served with coconut milk, crushed ice and sweetened with coconut palm sugar. The coconut milk and the sugar syrup are also infused with pandan leaves for extra fragrance. The freshness of this drink is so appealing. Hence, adding an outdoor green garden view from the window as the background is a bold statement for its freshness.

Photo shoot of crispbreads - product of Daugulis ( @daugulis.bakery ), Latvian bakery producer. Crispbreads with sea salt are healthy and easy to prepare snack in everyday life.
Easter meat pie. I was shooting this beautiful pie for my client, but I had to bake it myself since it was a ‘before and after' photoshoot. I was so happy about it because it's not just the end result that gives you the satisfaction it's the process of baking itself. It fills your home with mouth-watering scents and the feeling of coziness.
Moules à la crème, mussels with cream and white wine. Simple and delicious - but not too pretty, hence I decided to take close-up.
This photo was created for a ‘dark&light’ challenge. I was imagining myself sitting in a loft apartment in front of the industrial size window having breakfast in a sunny morning.
The shrimp mouths are delicious and have an inexhaustible compositional power, colors and textures are a great element of this photograph.
For mojito lovers. A bitter sweet taste that makes this drink so delicious. The perfect blend of lime, liquor, mint and sweet. A flawless blend.
Rare flowers (flores paras) from the Spanish 3 michelin starred chef Quique Dacosta. Shot on a white background to make all the colors pop. Shot with the fujifilm GFX50S and GF120mm F4.
My most spoken about image, the "flying burger" shot, which was created back in 2019. All of the ingredients in the burger were individually suspended, to create the effect of a "stacked" and "levitating" effect.
A collection of bright spices on a dark background, sitting in well used copper measuring cups. My favourite spice is Ras-el-Hanout, this Arabic name translates as 'The best spices in the shop' or 'Top shelf'. A Moroccan spice blend created using the best the dealer has to offer.
I love dark scenes with one or two popping color. In this case, I really wanted to embrace red so I also added greens as a complementary color.
