As a food photographer, my role is crucial in capturing the essence and allure of culinary creations. Through my lens, I showcase not only the aesthetic appeal of dishes but also tell stories about culture, tradition, and the artistry behind every recipe. In the food industry, photography plays a vital role in enticing customers, creating mouthwatering menus, and establishing a brand's identity. My photos have the power to evoke emotions, spark cravings, and ultimately drive sales. Beyond mere marketing, documenting food through my photography preserves moments in time, immortalizing recipes, techniques, and ingredients that might otherwise be forgotten. My images serve as visual archives, capturing the evolution of culinary trends, regional cuisines, and culinary innovations. In a world where food is more than just sustenance but a form of art and expression, my photographs become historical records, reflecting the ever-changing landscape of gastronomy. In essence, my dedication to food photography not only celebrates the beauty of cuisine but also contributes to the rich tapestry of culinary history. Through my lens, I illuminate the intricacies of flavor, texture, and presentation, inviting viewers to savor the visual feast before them and appreciate the craftsmanship behind each dish.

My name is Johannes. I'm a young german photographer living in the Netherlands. Having explored several fields of photography in the last decade I just recently found my way in to the field of food photography and enjoyed it so much that I made it my full time profession. I love cooking myself and therefore enjoy watching skilled chefs at work that really know what they do. That's why I'm more than grateful that in the last year I already had the chance to shoot food photos for 3 different Michelin starred chefs here in the Netherlands. I'm curious what the coming year will bring. Fact is, I won't stop playing around with different photography techniques to create more stunning photos for my clients, because that's what I love doing the most in my life.

I photograph food the way I see it—moody, a little dramatic, and full of stories. Whether it’s a cocktail with just the right amount of mystery, a loaf of bread that looks like it belongs in an old-world bakery, or a dessert that demands a moment of appreciation before the first bite, I want my images to make you feel something. I’ve spent years refining my style—playing with lighting, chasing the perfect textures, and figuring out how to make food look like more than just food. My work leans dark, cinematic, and a little editorial, but at the heart of it, I just want to create images that pull you in. When I'm not behind the camera, you’ll find me experimenting with lighting setups, refining my styling approach, or crafting cocktails (for research, of course). I love the challenge of making food feel like more than just a dish—it’s a moment, a memory, a story waiting to be told. I love to make food look as good as it tastes.

Antonis Karakostantakis | Specialized Photographer in Food, Products & Jewelry My journey in photography began at a young age when the camera became my tool for expressing creativity. While I initially explored wedding and christening photography, I soon discovered my true passion lies in capturing objects that “tell stories” – food, products, and jewelry. My professional path started with studies in Electronics in Athens, where I also cultivated my love for photography. After completing my studies, I worked as an electronics technician for a leading service company in Crete. Later, I dedicated 10 years to our family construction business, gaining valuable experience in building projects. Following that, I established my own technical office, which I ran for another 11 years, focusing on construction and renovation projects. During this period, architectural photography became a bridge between my technical expertise and artistic expression, further enriching my creative identity. I have pursued formal education in photography and continue to attend specialized seminars to constantly enhance my skills. My specialization in food, product, and jewelry photography is the result of passion and dedication. Based in the heart of Heraklion, I operate a modern studio exclusively designed for these areas, collaborating with hotels, restaurants, and businesses that seek to showcase their identity through compelling visuals. In addition, I have a deep love for travel and exploration. Wherever I find myself, whether in cities or nature, I capture landscapes and street scenes, creating images that reflect the uniqueness of each place. This passion has inspired a non-profit project through which I document Crete in a completely original and alternative way. For me, photography is more than a profession – it’s a way of life, creativity, and discovery.

Hi, My name is Pierre-Jean, but everyone calls me PJ! I'm a French photographer based in Japan, and I've been working professionally since 2000. After living in London, Barcelona, and Paris, I decided to relocate to Japan with my family. We're currently based in Otsu, Shiga, which is where my wife’s family is from, though I’m happy to travel for projects. I recently discovered my passion for food photography, and it’s a genre I love so much that I’ve decided to dedicate my work entirely to it. While my influences are deeply rooted in Western styles, this can offer a unique advantage if you're seeking something a bit different. Looking forward to collaborating!
