Food photographers

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. I'm a German school graduate and went on to study Character Animation in Swansea, Wales in 2001. After I came back to Egypt in 2004, I started off learning about cooking and culinary arts. My Japanese restaurant in Egypt was operating from 2011 until 2013. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I bought my first DSLR camera and immediately found a new perspective for my love of food. I am currently a fully devoted food photographer between Cairo and Budapest and I am looking to expand my services into other parts of the EU.

Bringing Flavor to Life Through the Lens As a former marketing director turned full-time food photographer, I combine strategic storytelling with visual artistry to create images that captivate, inspire, and sell. My background in branding and design allows me to understand not only the aesthetics of food photography but also the psychology behind what makes an image truly impactful. I focus on crafting mouthwatering, emotion-driven visuals that make flavors almost tangible. Whether it’s capturing the rustic charm of homemade dishes or the sleek elegance of fine dining, my goal is to showcase food in its most irresistible form. I work closely with chefs, restaurants, and food brands, ensuring each shot aligns perfectly with their vision and marketing strategy. Every frame tells a story, evokes a feeling, and invites the viewer to take a bite—if only with their eyes. Let’s create something delicious together!

What sets me apart from others is the inexhaustible source of ideas that I get when I encounter something new. When I began to experience food as something special to be enjoyed, not as a simple need that we have every day, I realized my passion for food photography. I learned to cook by watching the chefs make all those wonderful and special dishes, I wanted to be a part of it. So, let's cook, something new and special.

Hi, I am Indre London-based food and beverage photographer and stylist, specialising in high-end, story-led imagery for brands that value refinement, consistency and elevated visuals. With over a decade of experience in photography, my career began in portraiture, before organically evolving into food photography. In 2021, during a pause in my work, I found myself spending more time in the kitchen—not just cooking, but creating. As a long-time food lover and recipe enthusiast, I began capturing what I made. It felt instinctive, like this was where I always meant to be. That shift marked a new chapter. I immersed myself in food styling, composition and visual storytelling. Today, I merge those creative passions to help brands bring their identity to life through carefully crafted photography that’s as strategic as it is beautiful. Hi, My name is Pierre-Jean, but everyone calls me PJ! I'm a French photographer based in Japan, and I've been working professionally since 2000. After living in London, Barcelona, and Paris, I decided to relocate to Japan with my family. We're currently based nearby Kyoto in Otsu, Shiga, which is where my wife’s family is from, though I’m happy to travel for projects. I recently discovered my passion for food photography, and it’s a genre I love so much that I’ve decided to dedicate my work entirely to it. While my influences are deeply rooted in Western styles, this can offer a unique advantage if you're seeking something a bit different.
