Daniele D'agostino

Daniele D'agostino

Italy 🇮🇹

Number One Food Photographer in 2022

Daniele D’Agostino is an Italian professional photographer and videomaker with a deep specialization in the food & beverage sector, bringing over ten years of experience in creating images that highlight the aesthetic and sensory appeal of food.

Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Lecce (Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, Italy), Daniele combines advanced technical expertise in photographic techniques and lighting with an artistic sensibility aimed at showcasing the quality, freshness, and uniqueness of food through powerful and engaging visuals

As founder of Dag Pro Studio, he has collaborated with some of the most prestigious Italian and international food brands, such as Urbani Tartufi Italy and USA, Melegatti, Farina Vini, Coop, Slow Food Editore, Conad, and many others. He has also worked with Michelin-starred chefs like Masa, Michael White, Gianfranco Vissani, and Ciro Scamardella, helping to create images that serve as effective communication tools to enhance gastronomic excellence.

In addition, Daniele is an active member of Labeldesign, a design studio specializing in labeling and visual identity for food and beverage products, where he contributes his creative expertise to develop cohesive brand narratives.

His work combines technical rigor, mastery of lighting, and composition with the goal of evoking emotions and stimulating the senses—transforming every shot into a visual story that captures audience attention and effectively supports clients’ marketing strategies

Among his most notable projects is the photographic illustration of the book Le stagioni del tartufo (Slow Food Editore), a perfect blend of visual storytelling, territorial culture, and gastronomic quality.

His talent has been internationally recognized with awards such as:
· Foodelia International Award 2022 for Best Food Photographer in the World
· Finalist at the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2023 in London, one of the most prestigious awards in food photography

Daniele D’Agostino approaches commercial food photography not only as a profession but as an art form that requires precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of the product—creating images that influence and inspire both consumers and industry professionals.

All websites stripe the color profile because it is ignored by web browsers online, hence the color changes. However, you can get rid of the "color profile" with the help of Photoshop. You should choose "File → Save for the web". The "Save for the web" in Photoshop or any editing program will read the information in the color profile and apply it to the image. After that, you may upload images without losing colors.

After you upload images you should see them in your profile until the deadline. After the deadline, they will be automatically submitted. You can also find previously submitted photos by going to your profile and clicking on ‘Awards’.
