The classic spaghetti bolognese always shines on the dinning table as it epitomizes comfort food and home cooking in its best light.
This is a Minnie inspired cake for a little girl named Francisca, who just turned 3. The birthday table was complemented with cupcakes and pink macarons and she loved it!
This appetizer setting I photographed during a studio photo shoot during the food photography classes in school. This session is where I started loving food photography!

I first came across Quinoa when my daughter introduced me to her plant based diet. Quinoa is full of protein and has been named as a super crop because of its health benefits, easy to digest, gluten free and particularly rich in lysin.
I decided to photograph Quinoa both raw and cooked to get closer to its textures and to observe the changes from a small round seed to a light and fluffy rice consistency. The objective was to set a light and airy scene to match the lunch.
This is the most popular recipe I had made so far in my blog. Greensmoothie.
Some agave syrup, avocado and yoghurt and more.
Get recipe from here: http://smoothiempaamenoa.blogspot.fi/2017/04/vihersmoothie-hurmasi-myos-lapset.html
Recipe also in English :)
Marinated and grilled steak kebabs with bell peppers, onions and pineapple. Beer + grill + meat + a good book = quality me time.
Cozy Cider recipe by Jacques Pepin photographed for the New York Times. Jacques Pepin's version of hot apple cider with bourbon or rum added as optional. Great for a winter day or the holidays. Styled by @the_bojon_gourmet and @snixykitchen.
I photographed this loaf of bread for my portfolio. Photographed using natural light in my kitchen with a set I constructed. The window image was added from a photograph I took in Positano last year.
I wanted to make this photo with cherry tomatoes, which perfectly fit this interpretation with the aluminum can and a touch of freshness almost to indicate that what we buy in can can be fresh and genuine.
My passion is food and photografy and almost all of the photographs are made at my own home. This photograph was also made at my own home. I used some old props to build a setting and closed all of the curtains so I didn't have much daylight. To create a dark setting.I love this picture because it almost looks like a painting.
Photo-session for @beachbyronbay with Chef Enrico Semenzato plating up a Wagyu hanger steak,
Salmon cutlet and a Fillet of local fish.
'Vegie & Egg Power Stack' was shot for the breakfast chapter of 'Sugar-Free' cookbook part of 'The Australian Women's Weekly' Cookbook range. The brief for this cookbook was based around colourful, fresh, vibrant and healthy. I think this images captures all of these elements and most importantly you just feel like having a big bite! Food & Prop Stylist Olivia Blackmore worked across this project.
This was taken as part of my exercise/task in the Food Photography & Styling course in Le Cordon Bleu. I love this photo as it displays a fresh, bright and healthy start for the morning. I wanted to add 'movement' to this still life photo, so I thought a trickle of honey would do the trick.
This one-skillet Mediterranean dish showcases some of the wonderful ingredients that I love from the region: Za'atar spice rubbed halibut fillets pan seared amongst fennel bulb wedges, tomatoes, chickpeas, oregano and a dash of Moschofilero (Greek white wine).
This predish with sauerkraut I photographed during a studio photo shoot during the food photography classes in school. This session is where I started loving food photography!

Blueberry smoothie! Blueberry is truly Finnish superfood. It keep you healthy and satisfied. This was my breakfast moment :) Fresh, healthy and organic.
This was my first attempt at making rainbow rolls. I learned that my knives were a lot duller than I thought they were which made slicing these rolls a bit frustrating. But this one roll turned out to be less disastrous than the others and just photogenic enough to be picture worthy.
I did this photograph for my own pleasure. I built and distressed the window frame and table top. This was photographed using window light. I added the window seen from an image I took in Venice last fall.
This photo was taken on Easter, I think the quail eggs have been essential to the success of this photograph, all done with care without leaving anything to chance, especially the light control, I would be happy.
I made this photograph for my own Instagram account. I used window light for a fresh and bright photograph. For the backround in this setting I used a with tray and the ingredients in the basil pesto.
The dish was photographed during a food photography session for @beachbyronbay
Beach ‘green bowl’ with Organic quinoa, cavolo nero, avocado, zucchini, poached eggs, turmeric spiced nuts. A creation from chef Enrico Semenzato.
This image of 'Apple Pie Pancakes with Blackberry Compote' was taken for 'Eat Clean with Superfoods' part of 'The Australian Women's Weekly' Cookbook range, this book was released late 2016. The image had to ooze indulgence, yum factor as well has been bright, colourful to appeal to the healthy reader of this title. It was a great project to be involved in stylist Olivia Blackmore.
Scallops on puréed carrots with prosciutto, asparagus and foam. I had fun plating and styling this dish at Le Cordon Bleu's Food Photography & Styling course. I love using dark props and backdrop as it gives more depth and character to the dish. The styling was influenced by the ancient Celtic design, the Trinity knot.
I love this image - it was taken on a great commission for Oakleaf with a wonderful branding agency Pixie. It was part of a rebranding of their website where we created a number of images from their incredible selection of ingredients. Oakleaf are the primary suppliers of the best restaurants in the UK sourced from Paris' Rungis market.
This was the deli section showing some of the most delicious fresh ingredients of pasta, seasonings and oils ....amongst many other things!

This image is a celebration of the gorgeous figs, their sweetness is nicely balanced with Mitica Cordobes cheese and drizzles of honey. I just love how colors, textures and tastes all come together in this shot.
This was a test shoot we captured smoking all kinds of ingredients.
