A welcoming invite to The Salty Fish Bar. The client asked to capture the essence of the wonderful space they created for their bar in a series of photos. In creating this image, I knew using only strobes would not give off the right mood, so I went with a mix of ambient and available light, supplemented by a single 200W strobe and umbrella.

As one of my favorite animals, I know they can change color while they are alive, but as I was shooting this, I actually got confused several times. In the end, I went with purple when I was developing the photo. It just suits it so much! There was a lot of work to show the details and bring out the textures in the other ingredients and supporting elements as well. I hope you all appreciate this shot as much as I do.
