Celebrating a warm bowl of udon noodles with a little bit of heat and a lot of colour, texture and shape.

I created a window like a shadow puppet by shining a light separately on a white background.

This image of Chita Craft Umeshu showcases the artistry of product photography through meticulous lighting and composition. A smooth gradient blue background is used as a backlight, allowing the amber color of the plum liqueur to glow with clarity and warmth. A subtle top-side light highlights the curvature of the glass bottle, adding dimension and transparency.

The bold red and gold label is carefully illuminated to enhance its vibrancy without overpowering the overall balance. Light falloff and shadow control are precisely managed to retain the richness of the bottle’s texture while ensuring the label remains crisp and legible.

Positioned on a dark base, the bottle casts a soft, grounded shadow that adds depth and visual stability. This composition masterfully balances color contrast, material expression, and spatial tension, making it a standout example of how photography can convey both product quality and brand story in a single frame.
