Twenty-Fourth Collection
These are rainbow cupcakes, for the birthday of a little girl. They are yogurt and raspberry cupcakes, with vanilla buttercream and sprinkles. A rainbow of flavors, topped with a little rainbow of colors.
Roasted scallops, salted toffee pea soup, black garlic puree & lardo. This was the stunning collaboration meal with Simon Hulstone and Luke Tipping at Simpsons Restaurant, Birmingham.

Shopping for products I spotted these Quail eggs and wanted to capture the beautiful color of their shells. Natural light from a skylight, Nikon D810 and 50mm lens.

This is my favorite shot of all times! Looks so simple, but, it means so much to me! This was one day that we went to a local market place in Spain and my son showed me his favorite fruit! I was only starting on food photography and was testing my new camera...this accomplishment goes for my kids; they make me realize that the most special aspects of life, are at the details, the simple things.
I just wanted pancakes that day and that was what I made and shoot. I had captured this simple and comforting home cooked food with fresh berries, honey and a dust of icing sugar. I used a white backdrop and background to give a sense of freshness like a blank canvas. All other colour components were focused on the pancakes and plate.

Just one shot in the dark - and I got this moody picture! Available light and of course these super-fluffy brownies. For those who are afraid of excessive calories, this recipe get along without Sugar and in place of butter, a homemade applesauce features the stickiness.
SHAKSHOUKA: It is perfect breakfast dish. Ingredients I added for this dish are tomatoes, onion, green bell pepper, cumin powder, kashmiri chilly powder, black pepper powder, garlic, dry oregano, dry basil, fresh parsley, olive oil, and eggs.
Bubur Biji Salak.
This is a traditional Javanese dessert porridge, sweet potato and glutinous rice balls in coconut sugar soup and fragrant coconut milk. This homemade dish is plated in a rustic, traditional earthenware shallow bowl. Lining the serving tray is a traditional Javanese woven cloth. The dish is locally known as Bubur Biji Salak (bubur means porridge, both savory and sweet; biji salak means stone of snake fruit) as it resembles the stone of a snake fruit.

SAMBAR: It is a lentil based vegan curry which is popular in South Indian cuisine. Ingredients I added for this dish are: onions, tomatoes, orange lentils, carrots, green beans, velliri, sambar powder, kashmiri chilly powder, asafoetida powder, cilantro, curry leaves, dried red chillies, and coconut oil.
The espresso martini first featured in the early 1980's in London, so it's said. Well JJ Goodman has put his own spin on it and adds a classic English bourbon biscuit to top it off. This was shot as part of his incredible book to inspire home cocktail making. It's going to be an amazing book - watch out for it!

This is the genius of the London Cocktail Club's JJ Goodman. It's a Banoffee Sundae with a kick! Amaretto and toffee vodka combined with peanut butter and ice-cream with delicious sauce makes it the perfect pudding cocktail.
