I had created an image of fresh strawberries being sliced by a kitchen window and I decided to whip up some strawberry pancakes.
This photo was created using natural light in my kitchen.
This menu with sea inspiration was create by Michelin star restaurant Fortaleza do Guincho in Cascais, Portugal by pastry chef Filipe Manhita.
Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding.
Shot in my studio for my Edible Heirlooms cookbook.
These individual chocolate puddings were sidelit, using natural diffused light.
This photograph was taken as part of an exploration into seasonal fruit. I created the concept, styled, and shot the photograph in a bid to convey the seasonality of apples and how something as simple as a piece of fruit can be intwined with culture, occasion, and celebration.
Still life with apples. I really like still lifes of Dutch painters. While my photo does not have skull, dead fish or roast leg of wild boar, I had exactly the Dutch still lifes in front of my eyes. I chose morning natural light for my composition.

Cruising through the grocery store, the beauty of the fresh strawberries caught my eye. I had just made a new white wood surface for my food shots and immediately though of creating a fresh morning look of strawberries being cut by the kitchen window. I made both the surface and the window frame and layered in a view I had captured on a recent trip to Italy.
This flambé shrimps with garlic and orange juice is the genius of the Fuel Restaurant in Monte Gordo, Algarve that belongs to The Energize Hotels Chain.
Truffle and Cardamom Ice Cream.
Created and shot for a local truffle supplier, this delicious ice cream is shot in my studio, using natural light.
I'm so impressed by the textures and tones of this image.
