One morning... The idea for a colored breakfast full of vitamins.
The mix of organic yogurt with fresh red fruits and nuts.
Colors are everywhere... On the table, the bowl and in the bowl.
Visual is as important as taste in food photography, don't you think?

This beautiful orkney scallop dish by the esteemed Roux Scholarship Judge, André Garrett.
He has now moved to the stunning landmark London Hotel Corinthia and more of his dishes are available here.
I loved how the dish combined the two tones visually and lit it gently to enable the textures to flow.
When I have free time, I like to create images of things I love. I love bourbon. I arranged several bottles of bourbon as a background and then dropped acrylic ice cubes in to the glass of bourbon. I did have one casualty when an errant ice cube hit the side of the glass breaking it.
Kalamata and Manzanilla olives, hand smoked over cherry wood on @grumpygrandmas farm, giving them a rich, smokey flavor. We ate quite a few during the shoot as they are so moorish!
Photographed in my studio where I like to balance studio light and natural light. Playing with shutter-speeds to get the right amount of smoke. Food styling by @foodstylist_pete_may and art direction by @tinabyron
Food photography is about good food, great lighting, and using the best of your surroundings. This was taken in a smokehouse style restaurant in Newcastle and I wanted the restaurant itself to be reflected in the picture as well as the great sandwich and sides served there.

This was featured in Zagat's article (written by Lesley Balla, @lesleyla) highlighting the restaurant's ten year anniversary.
Sea Bream Tartar shot with the wonderful @luke.tipping @leo_kattou at the most amazing @simpsons_restaurant by @antonaandreas
What I love is the textures of the ceramics - lovely matt finish leaving the food to add the gloss and shine :)
The restaurant has held a Michelin star for the last 18 years and is based in Birmingham.
