The client requested a highlighting of the smoked rosemary in their marinade and garnish. This is a key flavor profile for their brand, so I back-lit the smoke against a darker background to ensure that the smoke was visible. These are the best ribs on Australia's Gold Coast - and the client was so happy with the work that they insisted I sit after the shoot to enjoy the chef's good work (which is always a happy ending for a skinny man)! ;-)


LACHS! FARRO! FENCHEL! A dish from the famous chef from Bodensee from the Hotel Riva at Konstanz - Dirk Hoberg - this was taken for the Bookazin "ZuGast" in Munich at the ZUGORAMA. Dirk is a 2 Michelin cook. He always uses the best ingredients and surprises always with something "extra".


This photo was an experiment with in-camera multiple exposures. Definitely a feature I need to explore more, especially the different ways the photos can blend together. Fascinating!

These stunning creatures are Blue Swimmer Crab, native to Australia. They really are this blue, no tweaking in post required. Mother nature at its best!!!
