Sixty-First Collection

The very first idea of this shot came from the little sauce dish. I was so fascinated with that and worked to find what food to shoot. I decided to have a go with Tobiko, the flying fish roe popular in Japanese cuisine. Then I played around with stones and dry ice.

The swirls and curvature of the spaghetti I felt had quite a graphic feel so I decided overhead would suit this image. I doubled up on the crockery and chose black to enhance the curves of the food and make it pop.

I have challenged myself to take a different picture of pomegranate every day for 30 days, capturing it’s beautiful color, texture, shapes, and energy. This is day 21. Deconstruction.

This one was the final shot of a mini pea series I did for my Instagram account. I had successfully grown green peas for the first time a d had loads of them, so soup seemed like the perfect dish for them.

This is a fall-inspired client shoot featuring wine and a vegan cheeseboard with fruit. As the shoot progressed, I noticed the shadow from the blinds was encroaching on my background wall. I liked the effect and chose to incorporate this shadow into the scene, highlighting the wine as the main subject. I used a combination of artificial light and ambient light.

I had a few days wanting to have Har Gow for dinner and once they were done, I realized they were perfect for a picture. This was shot with just one light and didn’t use any reflector.

The photo was taken in the Te New Island restaurant which is located on the island in the small town of Mikołajki in the very center of Masuria. It was my first order, my first chef, my first table, my first dishes - to which I return with great fondness.

As a documentary wedding photographer, you shot the moments as they are no time to make a nice scenery...you just capture the moments which makes it a dynamic sport in the world of photography, but... I love to style. So I looked into my kitchen what I could use to make a nice 'landscape' for this olive oil and made it a bit of an Italian scene.
