Sometimes you come across a prob that you just have to own, which was the case when I saw this nutmeg grinder. Setting the grinder up vertically was not going to work as the nutmegs were to small which gave me the idea of setting the scene up as a finished job. I’m Please with how the nutmeg related to the handle of the grinder

Cheese is not just cheese, and when Swiss chef Annina from @edelweissfineswissfood brought these splendid looking and smelling Swiss cheeses in to be photographed along with freshly baked sour bread, yes Swiss style too, we had a ball.

Sugaring the Poffertjes. This little snack is a favorite in the family. Originated and popular in the Netherlands, it is also popular in Indonesia as a former Dutch colony.
The poffertjes are plated in several small plates in various sizes and styled in a moody dark scene.
Ervilhas Cozidas à Portuguesa, is a very traditional Portuguese flavor, compose by peas, eggs, and spicy pork sausage. After de pees are cook, break the eggs on top. After 3 or 4 minutes the eggs yolks are cover with an opaque film and the whites are set. Put fresh coriander and serve at once. The magic is created by Sal e Limão.
This was a personal project using my own kitchen as a studio and minimal kit, just a backdrop and some black boards. I wanted to create a nice soft light so used a big modifier and a reflector. Madeleines with pistachio nut and orange blossom, served with a light dusting of icing sugar.
Cheesecake, one of my guilty pleasures. I used to sell them, a couple of years ago. But now, as a food photographer, it's all mine! After taking the photographs, of course … During my holidays in the USA, a visit to the well known 'cheesecake'-hotspots is inevitable, as you can imagine!

The honey used to drizzle over the porridge in this photo was harvested from local Irish honey bees along the shores of Strangford Lough, Co.Down in Northern Ireland. I spent the whole afternoon photographing the beekeepers at Mount Stewart estate and learning all about the bees, their social structure in the hive and where the honey is made. Bees are such an important part of our ecosystem, we need to look after them!
