Sixty-Seventh Collection

I made my picture about an "easy, daily gesture". I love the simplicity and neutral colors: it is only a cup of tea but it wasn't an easy picture at all.

This was part of an experimental shoot where I wanted to create a slightly retro feel with some new props and try my hand at drinks styling. I used a technical tilt/shift lens in order to have full control over the focus.

Emerging from the darkness of winter comes a vibrant spring Panzanella mason jar salad. Colorful spring veggies are combined with rustic bread and a tangy dressing. Such a fun and convenient way to enjoy the salad!

"La hora del cafe"
That famous quote in my family daily routine, when my mom made the call to bring everybody to the table and drink coffee around 5pm.
No matter what I do, I'll always have coffee at 5 pm.

Under the quickly escaping winter daylight, preparing pumpkin for the guests of Echo Food Festival on the East Coast of Tasmania. Pumpkins cooked over the heat of an open fire throughout the day.

I love quick sessions. I got an assignment for an urgent photo of an attractive spinach cake "Forest moss". You can see the effect - it was not only nice but also very tasty :)

Like many of us I cook and style most my stuff by myself. It was my first trial of a chocolate cake. When I took it out of the oven before it cooled down a bit, the surface broke and i was quite angry with myself. But I needed to take a shot of the receipe for a cook book and took that shot in lowkey. To be honest it was in order to hide the accident. I never thought that this shot would win an award! But of course, I am more than happy that it did!

With the weather starting to heat up in sunny South Florida, an ice-cold beverage is an absolute must-have at the beach. My personal favorite is cool and crisp-tasting Corona beer!

This is my latest commissioned work. Love this client to the moon and back. We discussed the art direction part intensively and they give me full control over the creative part. The workday became playing day with the color, layer cake, and Biscoff.

I recently had a photo shoot for Eid hampers from Truly Grace - Bespoke Gifts. One of the hampers includes a beautiful cake among other delicacies.
This is a single product shot showing the options that one can get for the cake, which are buttercream frosting or fondant. Both cakes are decorated with artificial Mood Orchid blossoms. Since the cake decorations include Mood Orchid, I added a real Mood Orchid for the props to enhance the two cakes.
Cakes by Natasha Tantama for Truly Grace - Bespoke Gifts.

This banoffee dessert combines the flavors of banana, caramel, chocolate and cream so well. Note the styling details, consisting of glasses, wooden trunk, linen towel and flowers.

A riff on 36 month Vaca Rossa Parmesan, hot, ambient and cold - Gougeres, Sticks and Truffles.

A puff stuffed with durian flavored mustard. Serving this dessert in a fine dining style makes it more unique and stand out. This is one of the Malaysian localized Japanese desserts.

The Blueberry Dutch Baby. This picture is my story for the 5 days of storytelling challenge organized by amazing teachers and creators Eva Kosmas Flores and Beata Lubas. Adding a human element to the scene always makes a difference. A big thanks to my husband for his patience and support.

Perfectly ripe raspberries and their reflection on black. I did not use any props as they would have distracted the viewer from the beauty of the subjects.

This photograph is a clear example of color as a fundamental element in the image, the colors offered by the product are a resource to enhance communication. I enjoy taking photos of the bottles, they are really beautiful in their shapes and the nuances generated by their translucency.

A truly stunning photograph, as well as the taste and texture of this delicious brisket. Without a doubt one of our favorite recent photos.

A playful scene of colorful Macarons. I had some leftover Macarons from a previous client project, so I wanted to create this scene that utilizes global illumination to shoot the Macarons. This was previously taught to me by another photographer, and the inspiration of the image came from him.

Lazy weekend mornings are totally my type of starting o relaxing day. Sweet breakfast or even a dessert, a cup of tea in pajamas or a bathrobe, calm music, a page or two of an interesting book or a journal, family members somewhere near and peace in mind. I just totally love every minute of mornings like these.

Nothing works that good as something sweet! I am a huge fan of raspberries so I am always looking for opportunities to use them in the most creative way.

I wanted to theme an image around food nostalgia, but contrast the subject with a modern aesthetic and colour palette. This shot required a meticulous approach to ensure accurate placement of the wafers, and that the hard shadows were part of the composition - not just a by-product of the light.

As the winter months have set in Tasmania, we start to become creative with mixology. A winter warming hot “toddy” mulled cocktail with Tasmanian Splendid Gin. With warming spices, a dash of sweetness and an undertone of citrus. Warming the soul and the hands.

Went shopping in a Japanese supermarket and found these super fresh baby groupers. Although initially, this was not on my shopping list, I decided to get the fish anyway for the freshness and beauty. I chose to cook it Chinese style, steamed with soy sauce. But before cooking, I took the fish for a photo shoot with the other ingredients in the recipe.

Blueberry Dutch Baby. This is one of my favorite breakfast dishes and it is as beautiful as it is delicious. I am a bit crazy about food aesthetics. When looking for recipes and dishes to cook, I always look for the right balance in beauty, tastes and complicatedness of the process. I think this dish is a perfect example of a well-balanced, delicious, easy to make and beautiful meal.

Close-up of a freshly boiled mussel on black background. The golden yellow of both the flesh and outer shell contrasts the blue-ish hue of the inner shell perfectly.

The backlight is undoubtedly an incredible lighting technique, the contrasts that it generates in the forms are really beautiful and in this photograph, we can see how the light provides an ideal setting for this refreshing drink.

For meat lovers. This is the perfect pairing of meat and wine. Nothing more simply delicious than that. Capturing the juiciness of that special meat cut.

A selection of quail eggs being displayed in multiple glass domes, suspended over a forest scene with cracked quail eggshells in view.
