Fifty-Fifth Collection
"Beets me" : During confinement at home, cravings for culinary creation, cravings for renewal... So I dreamed in my kitchen of a dish based on beets, lentils, carrots and nuts. The dream came true and it was delicious. I use the day light ingredients for this photography.
Wonderful summer meal in Ebeltoft, Denmark. Grilled wild prawns with pastis and herb butter at Hotel Langhoff & Juul. Part of a fantastic seafood evening.
Homemade strawberry smoothie bowl . You can find the recipe and more photos on my website: https://www.sweetsandlifestyle.com/erdbeer-smoothie-bowl/
What I love about being a food photographer is the inspiration I receive from food artists. This shot was created at the Rock Salt Restaurant of Sheraton Resort and Spa in Maui. They were renovating the looks of the restaurant as well as the menu. The flavor of fruits gets enhanced by dehydration. They crafted this libation from dehydrated fruits and fine vodka. It was served in the giant wine glass. Fun to share. Cheers!
I have always loved the beauty of basil leaves. However, they are usually only seen as part of a food dish. I chose to showcase this leaf all by itself framed by an irregular round black plate on a blak placemat to isolate the leaf. Photographed with natural light, my favorite light source.
Today...from my "secret" pantry ... a delicacy of @casaflorio: - a sauce with spicy sausage -! Thanks to the variety of "Casa Florio" we treat ourselves to a first course typically Italian made only with simple ingredients and from the imagination of chef Claudio Florio directly from Molise. Thanks to a great manufacturer where tradition and innovation are the masters.
Agar-agar Gula Merah
A simple, homemade gelatine dessert; a favorite of my late grandfather. This is agar-agar with coconut milk and brown palm sugar. Molded-in single cups; then garnished with Kersen Cherry blossoms and accented with golden teaspoons.
A creative dish called the potato field with potatoes, onions and herbs from 1 star MICHELIN chef Benjamin Kriegel in the FRITZ's FRAU FRANZI restaurant at THE FRITZ Hotel (Düsseldorf, Germany).
French toast with honey and blueberries it's an ideal breakfast.
Camera: Fuji X-T3
Lens: Fujinon 80 mm
Settings: ISO 80, 1/8 s, f/4.0
Shot using natural light.
Always such a joy photographing raw ingredients! This was for a client to shoot into producing and selling raw pasta.
Photographed this on my Canon 5D Mark IV with artificial lighting.
Crepes Suzette, a french dish with orange, Grand Marnier and icecream. Not in a single way comparable with ordinary pancakes, regarding both taste and look. The oranges create an authentic dramatic effect, which I love in this picture.
Thick, fluffy Buttermilk blueberry, strawberry, and pomegranate seed pancakes served with gorgeous maple syrup, soak perfectly into the pancakes and topped with cream.
I created this image for a drinks photography challenge. I've always been fascinated by this type of lighting, and it was a real challenge working out how to light the different parts of the wine and the glass, whilst keeping the background dark.
These strawberries looked so beautifully ripe and red in the shop, I just couldn't resist buying them! I knew I wanted to place just one on it's side with the rest stem down/bottoms to really emphasise the colour and texture of the fruit. I used one light, bare bulb diffused through a large scrim for a nice flat and natural looking light. I added a vignette in post with a little boost to saturation, curves and a bit of high pass.
Inspired by the many chocolate scenes in ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ this is a chocolate lovers' dream! I created this splash in reverse by pouring the liquid and suspending the elements and then flipping the scene.
This photo was so fun to create because it was completely different than my usual type of photo. Yet, it still fits into my style of photography. This definitely represented who I am as a person and photographer. Totally addicted to photography and caffeine!
Breakfast served at Upper House in Hong Kong @upperhouse_hkg. It is good to see hotels adapt and provide more and more plant based menus. Some of them create one just for their guests! Porridge and mango and papaya salad.
From the menu at Osteria Perillà *, Rocca d’Orcia. Siena, Tuscany.
•Risotto with wild green herbs, sea snails, garlic cream•
Here, the final touch of Marcello, the chef
A drip to the drink and Poof! It is called Chemistry!
Shot this back in October 2019. Was doing a food review session for a coffee shop. Nice ambient and lighting.
A simple hero shot of a green smoothie mix that leaves plenty of negative space for the designer to work their magic.
As an ex-designer, I know how important it is to leave some breathing room in my shots for cropping options, as well as negative space to reverse text against, for instance.
As photographers, it's so important that we give consideration to not just our shot, but how that shot will be applied to the marketing collateral and how we can give our client/creative agency some latitude to work with our shots.
Commercial work for "Os segredos da carne", a brazilian restaurant in Ciudad de Panamá.
I used elinchrom bxri lights with standart softboxes.
This photo was taken at the terrace of the hotel "Wilder Eder" in Austria. It was a wonderful sunny day with bright light. The interesting part was to play with this direct sunlight and the very sharp shadows. This is one photo out of a series for the Bookazin "Zu Gast"
Black pepper crab is one of the two most popular ways that crab is served in Singaporean cuisine. It is made with hard-shell crabs, and fried with black pepper. Unlike the other popular chilli crab dish, it is not cooked in a sauce and therefore has a dry consistency.
There is not a happier moment than to gather your loved ones for dinner together and serve them this spaghetti with shrimps and wine.
This work was done for a magazine in Venezuela. The preparation of the dish was done by Caracas Catering, which is a company dedicated to catering at events in Caracas- Venezuela.
Decided to inspire people to eat healthily and cook at home... I prepared "Homemade crunchy Peanut Butter". It was the first time that I prepared this recipe at home for the family and I super satisfied with the resulting kid enjoy it and the beautiful photography that I have done.
"Almost ready for you"
Dark mood photography gives you the chance to tell stories with a mystical sense and for me, that's how the light and darkness work together.
I was inspired by Ramadan every once a week we have a family gathering after iftar we always have sweets while talking and enjoying our time one of the sweets is baklava it taste so good i had to share it with everyone.
The storm after the calm.
Baking brings a sense of calm and a space to get away from it all and has been a real go-to at this time at home with my family. There’s beauty in the calm and the storm.
