The challenge was to maintain the mood of the restaurant while lighting up their signature menus. So happy with the result after tweaking and controlling some light spills.

Cheese on toast has been heralded as Britain's No.1 snack over the past 12 lockdown months and so I thought it only correct that I take the humble yet mighty bite, and give it a few tweaks? This is Cheese on Toast, and more specifically, this image forms part of my latest mini-series Cheese on Toast - 6 Ways.
This is a true story. Premium Parson Gin is inspired by the real Parson Russel terrier dog named Gin that spends most of his time in the popular rooftop bar managed by his owner. The dog Gin knows hundreds of cocktail recipes by heart as he witnessed them all. Parson Grapy is the world’s first premium gin from the aromatic Styrian grapes Jurka.

Meringue Crust.
The elegant Pavlova Cake consists of a base made of a meringue crust topped with whipped cream and fresh berries. It’s not Russian but named after a Russian ballerina — Anna Pavlova. There is a great debate about who made it first: Australia or New Zealand, but everyone can agree they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I shot this image to showcase the delicious texture and the taste of each element of this amazing ensemble.

Mushrooms are my favourite ingredients. A recipe that includes mushrooms in it will definitely get my attention. Then it just came to my mind to photograph several kinds of mushrooms; playing with the shapes, colours , sizes and textures. So I picked five kinds of fresh mushrooms for this. They are Shitake, Wood Ear, Enoki, (Brown) Shimeji, and King Oyster. I paired them with a rustic drawer set.

Tomato tart. Sometimes when buying products in-store I not only see the products but also the recipes and the compositions immediately. This tart is exactly what happened when I saw all these beautiful colorful tomatoes on the shelf.

I wanted to take this photograph of this coffee beer because the mixture of concepts of beer and coffee caught my attention, I felt that there was a very interesting opportunity to take a photograph that does justice to its quality, use sifted lighting and freezing for flash.

Variety is the spice of life, so we delighted ourselves with these delicious toasts, made with a backlight set up and a beauty dish to achieve a good intensity of light and shadows.

This image was for a client that sold a knife set and wanted to incorporate their knives into food images. I had complete freedom in terms of the style for these images, and in turn, having absolutely a lot of fun creating them.

The making of the traditional Indonesian cookies, Kue Semprong (Love Letters) which literally means smokestack cookies. The cookies are traditionally made by sandwiching a thin layer of batter between two metal plates, and the mold grilled over a charcoal stove. This is a colonial legacy is believed to be inspired by rolletjes, a crisp waffle-like cookie the Dutch eat at the New Year.

Biscotti with dried cranberries, almonds, vanilla bean and amazingly flavorful orange powder. I took quite a few photos of dusting biscotti with the powder but liked especially this one as it sprinkled so softly and a little bit to the left.

Rose blossoms macaroons with chocolate basil ganache. These are my very first homemade macaroons. And it turned out it’s not so difficult at all and this rose and basil chocolate ganache flavor combo is amazing.

The preparation of this photo was exhausting...putting everything in its place ready for the shot was quite an odyssey, however, with a little patience the composition that satisfied me was achieved, so having the elements ready we take care of the liquid and boom! We have a spectacular result…I love showing concrete actions in my photographs.

One of the best ways to enjoy a photoshoot is to do it as a team, and that is how we achieved this impressive result of those delicious french toasts.

I was shooting some food packaging shots for a client a few months before, trying to create splashes of oil on a packaging shot for "Hummus". The style of the shots didn't fit in with the food packaging images, so it didn't end up being incorporated into the images and I ended up using oil in a different way in their images. This image right here is the end product of me playing around with the leftover oil splashes in my own time;)

Flourless chocolate hazelnut tart with apple blossoms. When I have started the food photography path I have learned so many rules about the composition which I had to incorporate in my photos: layering, triangles, implied action, etc., and at some point of time, I have noticed that I just make a composition intuitively that looks beautiful to me and somehow find all these rules in it retrospectively.

The still life is one of my favorite photographs, it poses some very interesting lighting challenges, in this case, I used selective lighting to give a special touch to each element and I chose a complementary color of yellow to give harmony to the image, the result being oranges that tell a story.

Reaching a spectacular scene that perfectly translates the real essence of the product. A delicious cinnamon rum aged for 8 years with a smoky touch.

I loved how beautifully "red" this bottle of rum looked, therefore decided to photograph this along with a couple of glasses with rum in them. I only had one bottle of rum, so I had to take the image of the glasses separately from the bottle (to keep the bottle looking full), and then combining them in post-production.
