Seventieth Collection

This dish is simply inspired by fresh seasonal produce and I love simple dishes. Even better, when I can prepare a quick and healthy lunch with minimal effort, yet it looks beautiful on the plate and tastes good.

Free work. The aim was to present the pineapple as a "technical representation". The inner organic shows the freshness and texture of the fruit. I like minimalistic food photos that despite their "simplicity" invite you to look at the picture for more than 3 seconds.

This is my homemade Butterscotch Panna Cotta and Honeycomb. The round moulds of the Panna Cotta inspired me to create a composition of circles to draw the eye around the frame. I had edible flowers growing in the garden which provided a perfect Analogous colour combination for this image. Photographed in natural light and placed on my grey textured homemade backdrop, I think this really makes the subject stand out.

Making true connections while the world is shut down. West African spices send from the USA to The Netherlands so I could take some pictures for them.

I take pictures of food and drinks that I make myself. I like to create a composition of light that conveys the mood and taste. It is very gratifying when even for lemonade it is successful.

The protagonist of each table - The Bread - held by the strong and loving hands of a woman. I used diffused natural light and moody, dark background with the idea to rapresent the sacrifices of the bakers, who begin their work in the dark to give us our daily bread.

Dare to be hot and beautiful! Slices of fresh red chili peppers garnished with fresh chili pepper leaves from the garden. A gobo is used to give an ornamented shadow to the rustic wooden table underneath the raised plate.

Chocolate truffles with the crust of roasted coffee beans and cacao dust. Also the stoped moment of anticipation and temptation.

In the search for minimalism, I photographed this monochromatic peach mocktail.
I like to play with different sorts of garnishes, use real ice cubes and create an airy feeling thanks to the use of backlighting.

What a Delicious!!!

This shot was from a client shoot. It was taken with a flash, to capture the crisp action, which was placed outside my window. The shadows were created from a box placed near the front, a piece of cardboard near the back, and the centre shadow was from the window frame.

I loveeeeeee ice cream, my favourite dessert and loyal pick-me-up????. For this choc & mint heaven, I’ve connected and arranged 5 different frames to bring to you all it’s glorie. All hail the Ice Cream!

Part of a series of photos for Glenfiddich, this image encompasses the subtle smoke and complex texture of the whisky. Taken during a light snow using a back light and one key light.

This moving image was acquired for an online campaign. The nuts and raisins should represent dynamism and freshness and contain a modern setting. Food photography from a minimalist perspective.

I believe storytelling is truly important in food photography. When constructing this Pavlova tower, the detail of the meringues and berries were beautiful as they were so when I built the background layers I wanted to ensure the colours and composition did not distract from the main subject, rather draw your eye to it.

I love to grow my own vegetables, especially mushrooms. Not only is it a fun process to watch but the textures are amazing, which makes it one of my favorite food products to capture. And of course, they are delicious!
