Seventy-Sixth Collection
A scene where we freeze the action and movement to achieve an attractive photograph, using double stripboxes on the sides and a reflector to fill in the shadows. Using high speed sync to freeze liquid in mid-air.
Eating a steaming pot of instant noodles on a lazy weekend. harsh backlighting was utilised here to capture the steam and add a kind of nostalgic glow.
French confectionery is something that deserves those long hours (not hours, really, but well... even days) to make a cake. When you taste it, you can tell the difference. French cakes are amazing and I feel proud of myself for making this delicious and beautiful chocolate and black currant Entremet.
Also this image illustrates well my pseudonym as "Dar_kasneli" in Lithuanian means "Another bite" :)
Menyul, a Mexican coastal cocktail
The Menyul is originated in the town where my dad is from, Cordoba. The story tells of a French man in the XXVII century who was visiting the town and asked a bartender for a Mint Julep. The bartender was not familiar with the drink so he followed the visitor’s instructions. He replaced the Bourbon for Rum, since Bourbon was not imported at that time, and gave it his own twist. Since then it became the beverage of choice in many bars in Veracruz and a “must” if you are visiting.
I wanted to create a dark and moody image as we're still in the cold winter months. I used an optical snoot to create a thundery sky for the background, and a mirror to reflect light onto the Guinness logo for clarity.
Back light can be so magical and this is my take on it. Tea time is always a perfect time ☕️???? This was connected from 6 different photos, to get the right feel.
Freshly squeezed orange juice as a perfect start of the day on the rainy winter morning. I like to serve it in a beautiful glassware.
I am a big lover of berries and this image was part of a series of individual shots to capture the whole thawing process from start to finish.

Ruby red grapefruit pairs nicely with sprigs of rosemary and adds a tart citrusy flavor to a pair of branzino. Shot with a Nikon D850 and Profoto B1.
Very sweet and very pink picture for the Valentine's Day where fabulous pink teapot and strawberry jelly cakes create a lovely addictive charm.
Marbled matcha bundt cake, kicking back in the shade of a palm leaf — one of my favorite perspectives and a useful way to lean into the monochromatic look of this scene.
This image was made for the last Chrismas advertasing campain of the brand San Rafael.
San Rafael is one of the best brands of cold meats and sausages in México.
Jouer avec la lumière pour obtenir une belle silhouette.
Le couleur rouge met en avant le vin rouge.
La technique du flash est facile à utiliser avec une gélatine de couleur rouge.
The apple family. A real apple! The latest models of autumn, hand-picked in the garden, have been haunting our whole family for a long time. We ate, baked, dried, cooked and just gnawed. Loaded up with vitamins until the next harvest.
Shot on the Canon EOS R5 with the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens.
Settings: 1/250 sec at f/4.0, ISO 100.
Using the Optical Spot by Lindsay Adler next to a large light source.
Every detail in a photo helps to tell a story. Through the lens, you learn about the food, and also glimpse the passion and energy of the person that crafted it. Created as a healthy dessert option for chocolate lovers, enjoy a bit of magnificence with this chocolate chia pudding.
Minimal ambient and colors combination are the most important photographic elements of this picture. Recipe of Michelin starred chef Lorenzo Iozia.
Beautiful and delicious broccoli soup styled with cream, edible flowers and pine nuts goes along so well with these magical green plates.

There is nothing quite as exquisitely delicious as bruschetta made with whole roasted tomatoes, burrata and a healthy dose of olive oil. I wanted to capture this scene on a light but very aged background to simulate this Italian appetizer being served outdoors.
I wanted to evoke the feeling of sneaking up on this frozen honey mousse crowned with white currants, so I used leaves to help frame the scene and guide the eye towards the main subject.
Une forte envie de faire voler des macarons, un peu de vanille et des feuilles d’une plante de café et des petits carreaux chocolat pour agrémenter l’image.
The contrast of colors is an important element of this composition. Movement and focus planes are important to give a realistic feeling.
Shot by Nikon D810 a composite in photoshop.
Double chocolate chip cookies with milk. Lots of childhood memories and sentiment and a milk splash organically integrated into the scene.
