Eighty-Third Collection
Food Styling by Peilin Breller. Shot on the Canon R5 and 50mm lens at f / 11. I placed the hard light source as far away from the subject as possible for parallel shadows and to avoid noticing the inverse square law. The second light was illuminating as much of the wall behind light #1 to brighten the shadows consistently, create an appealing reflection (noticeable on the ice), and avoid a second shadow.
This photo (and its series) had to speak of the culture and opulence of Kerala, southern most state of India. Being a Keralite, this scene is nostalgic and the right amount of chiaroscuro helps tell the story dramatically. The gradation of greens and the highlights of gold and yellow makes this photo.
Asparagus, habanero peppers, capers, mozzarella salad with avocado roses. Dish created for photography challenge. Captured with natural light.
One of my most favorite thing is Apple Cinnamon Tea when it is Fall... When the hot humid summer is no more strong and the Winter is about to show up!! ❤️????
I met with Eric, the Beverage Director of an outstanding restaurant group a few times prior to this shoot. He is the brains behind every fantastic cocktail shoot I've had with this group. Hospitality to the T; he wanted anyone to feel as welcome as his closest friends. This Sake set reiterated that
A simple late summer salad with medley tomatoes with baby mozzarella, with homemade spinach and pine nut pesto, sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese. Created this as a part of an IG food challenge with the theme to create a food magazine cover.

An artwork of cannelloni tubes, an arrangement inspired by a city scene of skyscrapers. The scene is accented with a sprig of fresh basil.
This is one of those shots that look really simple but took hours to set up and execute. Simple 3 light set up, but it was multiple dozens of tries in getting the pour, bottle position and hand placement all perfect in camera. And after every single try it’s clean, refill and try again. The result was absolutely worth it though.
Creating a fun but an artistic twist to syrup splashes being poured, and bouncing off, of multiple waffles. This definitely created a very messy & sticky mess! ;)
Cannon of Lamb, Courgette, Carrot and Ginger. A culinary delight presented by the award-winning chef team at The Globe Inn 1610, Dumfries, Scotland.
Smoked Old Fashioned With Apple And Cinnamon. Try this Smoked Old Fashioned with Apple and Cinnamon, it takes some extra work but it’s worth it.
Almond butter on toasted GF bread with strawberries on the side. An attempt at creating a relaxed table scene and putting color theory in play.
A nigiri sushi of lightly seared tuna. The sushi is placed on a mat of thin branches, lined with shiso leaves. The sushi is presented on wooden drawer set with smoke from dry ice.
Splashes added to the image for a fun & refreshing feeling, and creating an illusion that heart shaped splashes surrounds the can.
The Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon) is a refreshing cocktail that will instantly remind you of the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. Blue Lagoon is a formidable antidote when the sun’s high and the temperature’s warm.
Splashes added to the image for a fun & refreshing feeling, and creating an illusion that the can is placed on one of the splashes.
Raspberry Mimosa — this stunningly beautiful, entirely elegant cocktail is perfect for any formal occasion. The great thing about raspberry mimosas is that they taste light, cool, and refreshing enough to enjoy in the summer, but they look like the ideal wintertime drink.
