Seventy-Fifth Collection

A gathering with kaya toast (ft. Malaysian coffee) on a sunny day. Except the sun was a speedlight and the hands are all one person. The speedlight was placed behind a window with thin curtain sheers which diffused it ever so slightly.

Eggnog macarons made and shot for the festive season, as hinted by the fairy lights, spices, and subtle wooden decoration peeking at the front. Shot with natural light.

The very thing I love in this picture is the light. The shooting day was moody however each and every moody day has that special light that shines through the clouds - and through the window. All you have to do is to catch it and capture. Not that easy sometimes but definitely worth trying.

This is a capture from a recent client photoshoot for Nielsen-Massey Vanillas. Jessica of Jessica's Dessert Studio (in Chicago, IL) was brought in to build and decorate this layered cake, adorned with fresh fruit, poached pear, and dripping caramel sauce.

This is one of my favorite coffee desserts. It’s a delicious affogato al caffe . I created a warm coffee colored mood and used negative space, my hands and the high cocktail glass as leading lines.

The picture is taken with a Canon EOS - R
The camera settings are:
Aperture: ƒ/8
Shutter speed: 1/160s
ISO: 100
Focal length: 50mm Sigma F1.4 Lens

Bringing some shine to the gray days of January with this pink-ish soft tones cranberry cake capture. The light comes slightly from the back from a speedlight & a rectangular softbox (perfect for creating this airy feel).

Winter and Christmas period always delivers pictures with such a festive and cosy atmosphere! This bundt cake was of course delicious, and the glaze is the extra 'icing on the cake', literally!

Sparkling wine, fireworks and falling "meteorites". For this photo I chose to create a dark mood with illuminating elements to best represent this Italian sparkling wine.

Galette des rois, spécialité française à déguster. Je souhaitais mettre en avant le coté rustique et ancien avec du bois, des végétaux secs et un couteau qui donne envie de se couper une belle part de galette. J'ai utilisé la lumière naturelle du moment.

This photo is very special to me as it was my first attempt at splash photography! I used natural light to capture this delicious drink. It's a famous Middle Eastern drink called (Qamar Al-Deen) which is made from dried apricot paste.

A throwback to my chef days. Re-creating and re-shooting one of my most popular lunch specials. It was fun to see how far the food and photography journey had progressed.

This image was shot for Oostwegel Collection. They serve amazing pie. Because of a Christmas deal I tried to add the feeling of Christmas by adding bokeh. Here you can see the cherry pie with a hot coffee.

Levitating cookies, shot for my portfolio.
I used two artificial light sources, softboxes and a reflector, processed in capture one and luminar Neo.

Because is January and we are trying more healthy food, I had in mind a photo with avocado toast and eggs. For this photo I chose to recreate a home table in a breakfast atmosphere adding the spices.

Beautiful slices of mouse cake, my leftovers from a anniversary. I chose to have a photo in a dark mood with colourful layers, recreating a coffee and cake time moment.

I am a big fun of rule of odds, also love some editing after photo shooting. This is one of the effects of fun and creativity when combined into one picture

Bright and airy photos are not closer to my heart, however when I see something that fragile I have to put some repot to the high key and make it looks so airy

This overhead shot was part of my winter portfolio session in nordic style, showcasing the colours of the Finnish flag. My favourite flower is the blue eryngo which also can be spotted on the scene.

New look at a traditional Pina Colada cocktail. Advertising project.

Photographing a beautifully styled pasta dish in a rustic restaurant setting, while incorporating sunlight into the image for a more vibrant feel.

I have always been mesmerized by dark food photography which creates magic and mysterious atmosphere. I have developed and photographed this recipe of Chocolate Cupcakes with Hazelnuts & Cinnamon Cream Cheese for my Instagram culinary blog and decided to shoot it in minimalistic style to show off the beautiful presentation of the product itself, without any distractions on the background. This photo was shot in August and represents the last breath of summer, a sweet season of figs & berries. The soft chocolate sponge cupcake covered with silky and smooth cinnamon cream cheese with vanilla, accompanied by adorable aromas of figs, berries, mint & lime - the taste is irresistible. I wanted to express that feeling in this photo.

My first composite with a stock splash shot. Other than the splash, the tin itself is a 4 or 5 photo composite to use different reflections and highlights.

An eight year aged Rum with a touch of smoke and coffee beans. A whole work of art that we achieved with a backlight to generate deep contrasts and many textures.

No one can resist such deliciousness. A shot made with high speed sync to freeze the movement in the scene and give the photo a much more attractive look.

The small details make the difference. A photo that undoubtedly arouses the viewer's interest by freezing time and achieving a super elegant photo that speaks for itself.

This Blood Orange French 75 is a twist to a beloved classic, the French 75. Enter my favorite citrus of the winter season, the blood orange, mixed with gin, simple syrup, and topped with sparkling wine!

Today's forecast: 100% chance of matcha snowfall followed by high likelihood of marshmallow fluff avalanche — matcha white hot chocolate, anyone?
