This project was created for a regional farmer, a valued regular client, for whom I handle all food photography needs. My aim was to not only capture the essence of his fresh produce but also to elevate the natural beauty of the ingredients through a carefully considered and artistically composed photograph.
A vibrant and harmonious composition featuring tomatoes in a stunning color scheme ranging from deep red to rich black combined with green. The choice of red and green is deeply rooted in the principles of the color wheel, where red symbolizes energy, passion, and appetite, while green represents freshness, growth, and balance. These complementary colors, positioned opposite each other on the color wheel, create a dynamic yet harmonious contrast that enhances the visual appeal of the food.

Soft pretzels a.k.a Bretzels
Always a favorite snack of mine. When returning to Switzerland for a visit I enjoy them with some light whipped butter and cured meats, here in Canada they are a must have when at a hockey game with a side of mustard.
However, nothing beats homemade ones fresh out of the oven (as the ones I took in this photo). They don’t need at thing.

I captured this moody photograph of a delicious cup of dandelion tea in my home studio. My shootings are carefully planned, with thoughtful consideration to ensure everything fits together perfectly. The artificial lighting makes the dandelion blossom glow, inviting viewers to enjoy this homemade cup of tea.
The light that illuminates the table, soft and enveloping, accentuates the golden tones of the biscuits and the richness of the chocolate coating. The shades of brown, flying biscuit pieces and crumbs add depth to the composition. Here I used only natural light, then blending different images in postproduction.
