It’s time for an iced coffee, with milk of course! I always love action shot involving pouring and mixing; so one day it came to my mind for a shot of pouring coffee and milk together.

Here the coffee and milk are poured onto a tipped glass filled with ice cubes. The inconsistent speed of the liquids coming out of the pot and jug making a beautiful capture of the milk, coffee; also when they are already mixed together in the glass.

Work done for an Italian wine producing client, “Le Stadère” based on the famous Tuscan hills. This fine wine pairs wonderfully with traditional Tuscan dishes such as the famous "Florentine steak".

Chocolate moves people, brings joy, and tells a story. Such a beautiful product, in many ways. Everyone deserves a pile of happiness like this!

When fire meets ice for my client @drinksplinks, ice shapes with attitude. Backlight and haste was needed on this when using ice and a blow torch in one shot. Featuring @drinkslowandlow, glassware @lamingtonnoosa and garnish @maryvalleyfoodco.

Korean Spicy Soft Tofu Stew: Shot this for a new Korean BBQ Restaurant in town. I used black theme on this photo to make it looks more premium and to make the smoke effect more visible.

I am very pleased that one of the surest I made for a very dear client made it to become a "Winner" photo. This was made for a company which makes the best jam ever ! here in this sujet it is used for a traditional Austrian recipe called "Powidltascherl"

This is a mini chocolate bundt cake and a sweet little candle and me making my 40th birthday wish. With the help of my husband and my elder son I was able to freeze the moment.

At least once a year in fall I have to make a pumpkin soup which marks the official end of summer for me. This picture took a bit of preparation as I had to get it right at the first few shots as otherwise, the dish would have been pumpkin seeds with soup rather than a creamy soup with a few bites.

I wanted to create a beach theme around coconut drinks thus the choice of hard light and shadow of the palm leaves. The colours were kept neutral so that the branding of the drinks would pop.

Masala chai is easily one of my favourite beverages on the planet. It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s warming – what more could you want?

An early autumn breakfast inspired by the beauty of the figs, their color and texture. I wanted to capture something less minimalistic then usual & add a little bit of coziness and natural vibes to it.

This blackberry pic I made for a super special theater project in the Netherlands; The Taste. This production is about a chef who lost his taste. It is a 360 degree experience which you will never forget.

With honey everything is tastier. A charming and very delightful photo. Taking advantage of the natural light through a side window on a warm afternoon.

Plates of chocolate waffles photographed on a wooden table, using crockery as decorations but also using green leaves and smoke to create more of a scene.

Beautiful and delicately flavoured Lavender and Gooseberry macarons, made using the traditional French meringue method, creating the perfect texture, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Wonderful to photograph and absolutely delicious!

This past August 25th, National Banana Split Day, I managed to obtain a special kind of banana. They aren't available at just any grocery store and are more often than not found in your photo manipulation program of choice.

Cheddar and cheeseboard ingredients - grapes, salami, figs, nuts- are in balance, while the product is in the center of attention.

This was a kind of spontaneous shot during a client shoot. Taken with flash, this is a composite of each individual splash/ripple and each branch shadow. All the fun and interesting shots always seem to be the unplanned ones!

I wanted to create moody and a little bit festive atmosphere in this image. The neighboring colors of the backdrop and props, the dark background, layering and some smoke helps to catch the attention on the waffles.

Love the contrast of the fresh strawberries fruits with the cool effect of the blue and blackberries. The waffle cups were placed dynamically to provide the required composition.

Uisge Beath - “Water of Life”

Celebrating my Scottish ancestry here and NOTHING is more Scottish than Scotch Whisky.

In thinking about what I wanted to create with this image, I listed 3 words that came to mind when I thought of Scotch Whisky: Rich. Bold. Warm. I think I captured those words in this image. I also used the colours of the Scottish Highlands as inspiration for my colour story here.

I had a strong sunlight coming through my bedroom window that day, and came up with the idea of shooting colourful glasses. Harsh back light really make wonders!

It’s the season that pumpkin takes over!

It seems that everyone waits on pins and needles at the beginning of the Fall season for when the Pumpkin Spice Latte drops across most coffee brands and bakery shops.

In preparation for this seasonal classic, I put together a shoot creating hero images featuring coffee drinks. Color backgrounds and warm wooden textures help convey the message. I also wanted to use prop elements that brought a different color palette to the classic orange and brown Fall colors. Introducing the purple props makes the image more contrast and adds visual interest.

Bright and airy photos stepped into my portfolio much later than moody dark photos. I felt it’s very challenging to find the right white balance. However practice makes perfect. Never give up

I wanted to take a photo with the right reflections on the glass and give elegance and refinement to the bottle like my client's Brut is!

Part of a series of shots highlighting truffle as a luxury food. My light source was placed low in order to pick out the texture in the truffle shavings, and flags were used to vignette the plate and lead the eye.
