I always try to explore new photographic techniques that I am passionate about. Dark Mood photography is undoubtedly very interesting for the setting that reminds me of moments from my childhood in the kitchen with my mother. There is something poetic in Dark Mood Ph, but it's also a way to offer my clients something different and outside the box compared to what is proposed. I'm not someone who prepares sets for the sole pleasure of photographing... generally I need a motivation generated by requests from possible clients. In this case I decided to experiment with a set in my studio and better understand the various aspects and difficulties of a dark mood shot. Autum Soup

Photographing cocktails is always a lot of fun. It's like a game where you try to make more beautiful smoke or splashes, you can really do it for a long time and not get tired.

In 2022 Atsushi Tanaka selected for the 100 The Best Chefs Award #94.

This is one of the festive appetizer made by the Culinary Team The Netherlands for The Culinary Worldcup 2022. This appetizer is part of the chefs table menu and is made with Dutch Kingfish.

I happy with the process on this one: I used a solid gold card for the liquid glow but blended it with a glittery gold card to add texture and give the impression of the background coming through for a more natural look.

Named after the similarly titled album of Iron Maiden, this roasted dark chocolate-flavoured English stout that is so good that you will crawl to the store to get one.⁠ I love the label design.
⁠If you ever wonder what's wrong with my hand: nothing! I masked and painted a prop hand to look this creepy, so I did not have to crawl under the table to capture this scene, I added real smoke to create a cold night mist, and applied colourful gels to create the specific lighting. ⁠

Client work for Kinship Foods, they approached me with the challenge to shoot their dumplings reflecting a very colorful and fun style. They wanted images that showed Asian food and ingredients in a non-traditional way. Using saturated colors and bright contrasting tones really gives these dumplings some life!

Marinated Feta Cheese is a simple to prepare appetiser that is packed full of delicious flavours. Garlic, rosemary, lemon and a little chilli combine with the Feta Cheese and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which works perfectly with slices of crusty bread

This is one of the first photos I created when I was studying glass photography, and I still find it very fascinating for the chosen colors, the studied composition and for all the atmosphere it brings.

A new customer asked me for a service dedicated to the drinks and cocktails section.

I wanted to make something more authorial and advertising; photos not only dedicated to the social part, but also to tell the mood of the place.

I didn't use artificial lights, just natural lights. It was a summer afternoon and the light was very beautiful.

I asked the bartender make a whiskey sour and a few more drinks in search of the perfect spot.
