I always try to explore new photographic techniques that I am passionate about. Dark Mood photography is undoubtedly very interesting for the setting that reminds me of moments from my childhood in the kitchen with my mother. There is something poetic in Dark Mood Ph, but it's also a way to offer my clients something different and outside the box compared to what is proposed. I'm not someone who prepares sets for the sole pleasure of photographing... generally I need a motivation generated by requests from possible clients. I happy with the process on this one: I used a solid gold card for the liquid glow but blended it with a glittery gold card to add texture and give the impression of the background coming through for a more natural look.

Named after the similarly titled album of Iron Maiden, this roasted dark chocolate-flavoured English stout that is so good that you will crawl to the store to get one.⁠ I love the label design.<br />
⁠If you ever wonder what's wrong with my hand: nothing! I masked and painted a prop hand to look this creepy, so I did not have to crawl under the table to capture this scene, I added real smoke to create a cold night mist, and applied colourful gels to create the specific lighting. ⁠

Client work for Kinship Foods, they approached me with the challenge to shoot their dumplings reflecting a very colorful and fun style. They wanted images that showed Asian food and ingredients in a non-traditional way. Using saturated colors and bright contrasting tones really gives these dumplings some life!
