Chocolate mud cake with a little snow. Action shots are such a game changer, just by adding a little dusting to the scene you can totally change the energy and the mood of the picture.
I also chose a white & black theme for this picture. It is quite challenging to make B&W food pictures look appealing but I think this chocolate mud cake with airy little meringues looks just perfect in B&W.
A delicious and beautiful cocktail. Where we used a side light to give more texture and depth to the scene together with a high speed sync to freeze the action and movement.
The desert that you can eat every day - the pancakes! Golden tones compliment this elegant frame. The shallow dept of field and rich colour of raspberries and mint contrasts softens of the scene✨
Rose Lemon Tea. I tried a new drink recipe of rose tea with lemon. For a super hot day, I added some ice cubes and made it an iced tea. I like the result; the flavours of green tea, tangy lemon, sweet rosey and citrusy scents are truly pleasing. Here the iced tea is showered with dried rose petals.
Now with blackberries and figs in season I use them everywhere, but my favorite thing though is to have them both with baked camembert cheese and a slice of sourdough bread.
A scene where color does not go unnoticed. Using a wraparound light so that all elements can be detailed at first glance. Enjoy it
When shooting this scene, I wanted to reflect the atmosphere of the Dutch Golden Age - the light, the colours, the still life scene. The small details that create a whole picture.
My idea behind this image was minimalistic. However this took numerous hours in editing, as each glass was shot multiple times, and then combine to create the best image of that particular glass. All of the glasses was then combined with the bottle shot itself.
Nutella Croissants with berries, cream cheese chocolate and peach. The perfect combination in food photography and for eating it after the shoot! :)
Every time I take a picture, I want to make sure that picture tells a story. And this is a magical story by amazing summer cold strawberry drink.
...Are these strawberries coming out or are they going into the pot? :-)
Taking this pic with real drops of water blown from under the table was the hardest thing !
Love shooting fresh seasonal produce and simple dishes that hero the produce. Bruschetta reminds me of my travels to Italy a few years ago and an Italian cooking class in Florence, but in all honesty, I grew up on tomato and cucumber sandwiches. It's great they also make a great photo.

Who doesn’t love coffee.
I always imagined rich and dark scene for this
beauty. Few key but subtle elements fill this scene which complement the hero
Orange vanilla martini: 2 1/2 oz vodka, 1/2 oz Grand Manier, a dash of vanilla extract and some orange zest. Strong but beautiful.
Instead of the traditional hotpot images, client wanted a distinctive clean, modern yet luxurious style with hard light which was achieved in this image with the help of appropriate props.
One of my favourite companions for tea. Canelé de Bordeaux, made into mini size. Made by a pâtisserie famous for its authentic French bread and pastry here in Jakarta. When I made the shot just before tea time, the sun was shining a truly beautiful golden light. I like how the canelés gleam in this beautiful natural light.
This was a collaboration between me (the photographer), my mami Andrea (the ceramist, @andrea.pottery) and Martin Hoellrigl of @capitolagardenfeast (the chef). This was one of my favorite shots of the collab; everything fell into place so well it almost feels like all I did was press the shutter!
Ginger-roasted plums with blackberries and dark rum. Autumn harvest at its best.
It’s one of those shots when the scene catches your gaze and wouldn’t let it go…
